Fun at Fashion Week

I've been so busy attending shows, events and parties this fashion week that I'm behind on downloading and editing all my photos!  I'm working fast and furiously to put some posts together but in the meantime, here's a great shot I took of Italian fashion editor Anna Dello Russo after the Tory Burch fashion show this morning.  Even with multiple people shooting her, she knows how to give each one a great smile.  I love that she really has fun with fashion and doesn't take it all too seriously.   I mean, if you can't have fun at fashion week, when can you?!  Ciao!

Today's Inspiration

Yesterday, I was inspired by Reese Witherspoon's casual style and today it's Anna Dello Russo's over the top elegance! That's just how my mind works. Tommy Ton has posted some fabulous photos of Anna's favorite things in her apartments in Milan on his Jak & Jil Blog. And yes, I said apartments plural. One of them is entirely devoted to her clothing archive! What I swooning over is the beautiful photographic wallpaper of what looks to be a French chateau or maybe it's an Italian palazzo since Anna is Italian after all. Whatever the case, it's to die for and going in my inspiration file for future reference! But right now I'm off to the not quite so glamorous day of meeting with my upholsterer. Ciao for now!

The Other Editor: Viviana Volpicella

While I appreciate Anna Dello Russo's over the top outfits during fashion week, she works for Vogue Nippon after all, it's her fashion assistant's style that I really admire. Viviana Volpicella makes even a simple outfit of pants and a blouse look chic and stylish. Then again, you could probably put her in a paper bag and she'd still look just as chic and stylish because she is Italian and that's what they do. But it's got to be that great smile that makes me like her so much. There is nothing worse than a person who takes themselves too seriously. Someone who wears yellow must also have a sunny personality to match! I think once you see her signature style in action, you'll agree with me. Just ignore the ubiquitous cigarette. As I said, she's Italian!
