Color Blocked

I was going to post something else today but then I thought those of us experiencing grey skies and snow showers could use a burst of color.

Bon weekend!

Grace

I've been stalking Amazon.com for months to see if they had uploaded the cover image to Grace: A Memoir by Grace Coddington.  When it finally posted, I was excited to see that my book won't be the only one with an orange cover this fall.  Her cover also seems to be a nod to the old covers of Cecil Beaton's books.  It's really not the cover I'm excited about though but her stories of working with some of the world's most famous photographers, first as a model and later as an editor.  It's just too bad we'll have to wait until November for the release.  I would love to have tucked it in my beach bag this summer.  But I guess good things come to those who wait.

Bon weekend!

Orange You Glad It's Friday?

This has been one of those weeks.  I feel exhausted and ready to relax.  But that has to wait until I finish hiding stacks of magazines before a magazine editor comes to scout my apartment.  And then there is still a few last things to do on the book.  It never ends.  Hope you get time to relax.

Bon Weekend!

Don't forget you can pre-order my book Creativity at Work on Amazon.com

N.B. As you know, I always try to credit the photos I post but the proliferation of uncredited images from tumblr and Pinterest sometimes make that difficult.  If you ever know the source of an unknown photo, please feel free to let me know. Thanks!

Inspiring Outfit

One sure fire way to be photographed by the street style photographers during fashion week is to wear color. Mr. Newton captured the inspiring outfit above in Milan for Harper's Bazaar and I love the combination of neutrals, aqua, orange, and purple.  It not only looks nice as an outfit but also in art and interiors. I think it just might be my inspiration for my outfits and my apartment this spring.
