Beautiful at Veronica Beard

Ladies, and gents, with great personal style always design the best collections. That  is the case with Veronica Beard, both of them.  Sisters in law Veronica Miele Beard and Veronica Swanson Beard the co-designers behind the label Veronica Beard presented a beautiful spring 2013 collection at the Gramercy Park Hotel Wednesday evening.  I liked it so much that for a second, I wondered if I could pull off a turban to complete the look. Spring "celebrates the spirit of a woman determined to define her style, inspired by life's many journeys. Classic American sportswear, always at the core of the Veronica Beard uniform, is represented in iconic silhouettes captured through her lens in Morocco".  Sounds pretty perfect to me...and for me. 

The gorgeous bags were from the Hunting Season.

The custom motor bike was from Evolve. 

Shoes were by Alejandro Ingelmo. 

Although you can't see it, the jewelry was by Lulu Frost.

Chic and Colorful

For my own apartment, I like a neutral backdrop with small pops of color.  But every once in a while I see a colorful home that makes me want to call up the painters and completely redo everything.  Veronica Swanson Beard's amazing triplex is one of them.  Interior designer Thomas Britt helped Veronica and her husband with the decor of the 4,000 square foot home.  You might remember that he worked on her sister Alexis Swanson Traina's San Francisco house as well.  It's clear this is a family who's not afraid of bold color and patterns. Harper's Bazaar just featured the house but I also found some photos on Thomas Britt's website that give you an idea of the layout.  I probably won't end up painting my walls, but I just might reupholster my sofa in that amazing chartreuse green color.  Baby steps.
