Color My World

I LOVE this color block outfit (it's Prada) that Amanda Seyfried was wearing that was posted on Who What Wear today.  It's freezing again in New York and this ensemble is getting me even more excited for spring.  It also reminds me of a few other things I've seen recently. 

I have been stalking these Tabitha Simmons Alexa Bicolor Flats at Barneys because I can't decide which color I want to buy.  I'm leaning toward yellow but what do you think?

I also popped by Hermes yesterday to see their new Rallye 24 table top porcelain that was inspired by the iconic anchor chain and race track ovals. It's not available online yet but you can find it in the Madison Avenue store.

Bits and Bobs

Today was one of those days that took me in a million different directions.  I swear I'm going to get things together soon but until then, here are a few pics that I have gravitated toward this week. The Carolyne Roehm image above makes me wish I had a dining room so I could set a pretty table and invite some friends over for a party. At the very least, I'm going to buy more flowers for my apartment.

I just bought a vintage grey fur that needs to be remodeled so I was looking at Viviana Volpicella's coat for inspiration. The colors also go with my theme. (Photo via Wednesday Fashion.)

Mellow Yellow Magpie

I think we all had a feeling that the yellow benches at the Tory Burch Spring 2013 runway show were a hint at what was to come. According to the notes, the collection is an "American prep remix" inspired by a "stylish magpie who picks up special pieces while traveling around the world and always mixes them with classic sportswear." I personally loved all the dresses and eclectic mix of jewelry and chic shoes.  I haven't even pulled out my fall clothes yet but this week of shows definitely has me excited for what's to come next year.

Think Happy

This is a crazy week for me. I'm in the home stretch for the book and trying to finish it up before they start printing the color proofs.  It's very exciting but very stressful.  I also have other work and obligations. I'm very lucky that I get to work for myself and try to remember that everyday.  

I love this poster that I came across on etsy and it's also a great reminder.  Also serves as a great excuse to post more yellow as a follow up to yesterday's tulips.
