I may not have gotten any gift guides up yet but I do have a holiday giveaway for you.  Ex Voto Vintage is generously offering one lucky Habitually Chic reader their Minny Necklace with Laurel Locket. The necklace was named after their friend Octavia Spencer's "Minny" character from the film The Help. Octavia wore this necklace on several occasions when promoting the movie and now it can be yours.

Modern Visionaries Lecture Series & Giveaway

It seems like we're always talking about the same people online.  It makes me wonder if there is anyone left undiscovered or under the radar.  That's why I'm loving the upcoming lecture series from The Decorators Club called Modern Visionaries: Women of Design.  While some of the designers might be known to you like Ruby Ross Wood and Maria Pergay, I had never heard of Vanessa Bell, Beatrix Ferrand, or Suzanne Belperron.  The lectures start on Wednesday, October 3rd and run through March 2013.  You can attend just one lecture for $30 or buy tickets to all five lectures for $125. To order tickets click here. The best part is that the money raised from the lecture series benefits The Decorators Club Education Fund and goes 

toward scholarships for interior design students.

Calypso for Target Preview and Giveaway

After I moved to New York, shopping at Calypso St. Barth stores became a favorite pastime.  Not only do they have great colorful clothing and chic sandals but great furniture and accessories for the home.  Now those of you who don't live near a Calypso store can take home their island inspired aesthetic from their new collection for Target when it is unveiled on May 1, 2011.  I had the opportunity to shop the sneak preview recently and I know you are going to love the summer dresses, elephant tea pot, and cute kid's clothes.  Best of all, Target has graciously offered up two of the signature Calypso St. Barth poufs - one silver and one gold - to lucky Habitually Chic readers!
