Ravishing Rose

Not all the stars attend the Academy Awards ceremony.  Some go straight to the Vanity Fair Oscars party like Rose Byrne who looked amazing.  I just got my hair cut Friday but after seeing her chic shoulder grazing do, I wish I had gone shorter.  I'm also loving her bright bright pinky red lipstick.  For a similar look try Magnetic Magenta by Estee Lauder or Aphrodisiac by Tom Ford

Grey Day

After four days of lovely weather in San Francisco, this grey Monday is a little depressing.  I'm not ready to be back in boots and tights and coats. As I've mentioned before, my winter wardrobe consists of various shades of grey.  It looks less harsh than all black but plays nicely with almost all other colors.  I especially love it mixed with gold jewelry but grey rooms also look great with gold accessories.  Now I just need to find a reasonably priced vintage gold Rolex.  A girl can dream.

My new J.Crew Collection Tartan Car Coat integrates perfectly into my grey wardrobe.  It's also super warm and chic.  It's sold out online but you can call to see if they still have it in stores.

He's technically not wearing grey but he was too cute not to include.

Tom's Townhouse

I always wonder why we don't see Tom Ford's homes published in more magazines.  Perhaps he doesn't want us all peering into his private spaces or maybe there were published in foreign magazines and I just didn't see them.  Whatever the case, you can see some pics of his Mayfair townhouse in London that was just sold.  The perfection reminds me of the character George in A Single Man.  Nothing is out of place though I didn't really expect it to be.  It's modern but not stark.  I like the choice of curvier dining chairs around the clean lined dining table. Tom is moving to the South Kensington area according to Fashionologie so maybe we'll see that home in a magazine someday if we're lucky.

Chic in Shades

I wanted to buy myself a new pair of sunglasses before my trip but ran out of time. I have a pair of Tom Ford gold aviator sunglasses that still look good but I feel like it's time for a change.  I have been debating on a pair of large Jackie O style shades or the new cat eye style.  There are so many chic sunglasses on the people in this post that I now want to buy one of everything!  Enjoy!
